1. Achievements
- In 2026, the Mars Park-Style Concert was upgraded to Version 2.0. Retaining the format of Matinee + Evening Show, “Mars Park-Style Concert 2.0” delivers an exhilarating full-day experience for visitors. Besides the complete renewal of stage visuals, a pop-up “Mars Utopia” (featuring amusement facilities, art installations and catering services) and a permanent “Mars Camp” (housing fine-dining restaurants, free interactive games, outdoor yoga, singing bowl healing, bonfire parties and more) were built. An all-in-one space integrating live music, art exhibitions, leisure activities and catering was created.
- A brand-new “Twin (Black & White) Setlist” is introduced. Different setlists are presented at each show, giving every performance unique highlights. Through this multi-layered musical experience, the audience can fully appreciate the unique charm of the stage created by Hua Chenyu. The stage visuals have also been refreshed. Two distinct visual systems for stage design were specially tailored for the twin setlists, bringing to life an immersive experience of “a unique world for every song”.

- This year, the number of fans randomly selected to come onstage for birthday celebrations has increased to three per concert. A screen-simulated pachislot game was also introduced. The prizes are as follows:

Yuxi (Cancelled)
The performances scheduled for May 1-2 and 4-5, 2026, which were to serve as the opening stop for “Mars Park-Style Concerts 2.0” at Fuxian Lake (the second deepest freshwater lake in China) in Yuxi, Yunnan, were abruptly cancelled due to force majeure on April 22 – just one week before the event. Dismantling of the stage facilities, which cost over 2 billion JPY and were nearly complete, began that very night.
According to media interviews and reports published before the cancellation, the decision to locate “Mars Park-Style Concerts 2.0” at Fuxian Lake was prompted by a warm invitation from Yuxi City. The event’s realization came only after navigating numerous challenges and setbacks.
According to various estimates, the losses incurred by Hua Chenyu and the organizers from stage construction costs, hundreds of thousands of ticket refunds, VIP ticket perks and merchandise for sale, and compensation for flight and hotel cancellations alone will reach billions of JPY. This does not include investments in fixed assets such as local real estate purchases, infrastructure development, environmental protection support, and the establishment of supporting facilities.
At the final concert last year, Hua Chenyu announced the purchase of three plots of land in Yunnan to build a physical “Mars Home”. These plots were designated for a permanent stage and audience area, lifestyle facilities like B&Bs and cafes, and the creation of a “Mars Utopia”. When the concert was cancelled, the B&B and cafe were already in operation. In particular, the B&B “Warm House” had previously selected guests (limited to concert-goers) via livestream to stay during the concert period for a special price of 3 RMB per day; all payments have now been refunded, and the offer has been changed to allow all booked guests to stay for free.
On the night the cancellation was announced, Hua Chenyu held a Livestream, performing several songs rearranged specifically for the concerts to comfort his fans. A few days later, at the China Blue Zuili Lake Music Festival, Hua Chenyu revealed that on the very night he learned of the cancellation, he had organized a specialized task force to scout other Chinese cities for a new venue and had already dispatched them to the field.
Nanjing, Mid-Autumn
From September 25 to 27, over the three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in China, Hua Chenyu returned to Tangshan Music Valley in Nanjing to kick off his eventful 2026 tour.
All three days featured a setlist built around the “White Setlist”. Fans had anticipated that the White and Black Setlists would alternate each day, but Hua Chenyu explained that brand-new opening performances inevitably have flaws, so reviews and adjustments were made based on feedback from the venue.
September 27 marked the 13th anniversary of Hua’s debut. He specially performed “I am What I am“, the song that left a deep impression on audiences during his audition. He shared that opportunities arise every few years for him to sing this track again, and he gains new feelings as he grows older. The drone show that night depicted an anniversary cake and recreated the logo from his championship win back then.
Heavy rain hit on the second day (similar to the Foshan concerts last year, with even lower temperatures). To avoid catching a cold which might affect subsequent performances, Hua Chenyu performed holding an umbrella for most of the show. However, he could not keep the umbrella up during the interactive piano segment. When the audience called for him to hold an umbrella, he acknowledged the fans’ kindness and asked the band members for a simple impromptu backing track, continuing to chat with the audience.
On the third day, Hua shyly revealed that he had not met his fans for a long time, so he could not stop smiling before the show on the first day out of excitement.
The Elf King look for his Day 1 appearance was a sudden idea Hua had the night before. He thought, “This costume looks like an elf”, and quickly ordered pointed ear accessories via on-demand delivery app.
- Over the three days, the audience ate a total of 30,000 grilled squids.
Nanjing, National Day
October 1–7 is China’s National Day holiday. Hua Chenyu continued to hold four concerts in Nanjing (October 2–3, 5–6). Light rain fell occasionally during the first two performances, while the latter two days were perfectly sunny.
The setlist order for the four National Day Concerts was “Black-Black-White-Black”.
At the matinee on October 2, Zuo Li gave Hua Chenyu a stack of scratch lottery tickets as a gift. The two could not help scratching the tickets right on stage, and the background music was also switched to “好运来 (Good Luck Comes)” by the director. Hua won 180 RMB on the spot and gave the winnings to Zuo Li, saying he would use the money to buy a guitar from Zuo Li. The remaining unscratched lottery tickets were given to the fans who came onstage for birthday celebrations.
