1. Achievements
- This year, Hua Chenyu has completely updated the setlist and arrangements. The arrangement theme is “East-West Fusion,” skillfully blending traditional Chinese instruments such as guzheng, xiao, and pipa with Western instruments like harp, Scottish bagpipes, and Irish flutes. Through the collision of Eastern and Western musical elements and cross-cultural art fusion, he has expanded his musical boundaries anew.
2. Anecdote
Hua Chenyu opened the performance by singing the Baroque rock-style song “Illusion and Reality“ while descending from mid-air on a spiral-shaped lift stage fully decorated with diamonds.
The hit song “Ashes from Fireworks“ from Hua’s debut album “Quasimodo’s Gift” was composed by indie musician Xilou. Hua Chenyu stated during his cover of Xilou’s representative work “Child“ on “Singer 2018“ that “Ashes from Fireworks“ could be seen as a prelude to “Child“. He masterfully fused the harmonies of both songs, finally presenting them in mashup format this time.
Similarly, Hua mashed up two songs - “Extraordinary Ordinary Life“ and “Beauty Yet Revealed to Me“. Originally twin tracks sharing the same melody with different lyrical themes and arrangements, they were remixed under the new title “From Ordinary to Beauty Yet Revealed” and incorporated into the medley segment.
A different sentence was printed each day on the long ribbon paper that was sprayed at the end of the performance.

Fuzhou
On March 8-9, Hua Chenyu launched his annual tour with two consecutive concerts in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province in southern China.
The March 8 premiere coincided with International Women’s Day. Hua Chenyu sent special blessings to attending fans by SMS: “As spring blossoms, Fuzhou extends its invitation. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, may each unique soul among you become the wind, the ocean, and an eternal flame, forever growing towards the sun! - Hua Chenyu 2025.3.8”
During the second day’s performance, immediately after singing “Arrival“, the lift stage malfunctioned. With parkour-like agility, Hua leapt down multiple platform levels consecutively, igniting frenzied cheers throughout the venue.
Changsha
On March 22-23, Hua Chenyu returned to his debut city Changsha to hold Concerts for two consecutive days.
A drone conducting high-speed aerial filming around and the stage crashed at a corner of the platform, with the entire incident broadcast live on the giant screen in first-person perspective.
While singing the line “There is a letter, A letter for you from the future” in “Let’s Go and Watch the Sunrise“, Hua pulled out a letter from his chest. The stationery featured a simple sketch widely cherished among the fans: Hua and ET sharing a kiss at sunrise.
During the second day’s concert, Hua made a weather-based bet with fans, rooted in his “Little Sun” legend (believed to bring sunshine to concert dates). Despite prior continuous rain, Changsha experienced unusually scorching weather during the concerts, followed by a sudden temperature drop the next day. Hua pledged that If the next concert in Xi’an also has clear skies, fans win—and he’ll grant one collective wish.
Xi’an
April 5-6 (Qingming Festival holiday in China), Hua Chenyu held consecutive concerts in Xi’an, an ancient capital of 13 dynasties.
On Day 1, Hua mentioned “keeping the performance more family-friendly” as his father and sister were in the audience, while teasing a “an outfit requiring prolonged mental preparation” for Day 2. Fans speculated wildly about its boldness, only to discover a full-body leopard print ensemble the next day.
The most renowned historical site in Xi’an is the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor’s Terracotta Army. Staffs from a Terracotta Warriors-themed musical troupe watched the lives in Qin Shi Huang and warrior cosplay. During the performance of “Light Up the Bonfire at the Galaxy’s End“ they joined fans’ dancing in the arena pit.
While filming a vlog at a snack street the day before, Hua passed by a fan girl without being recognized. At the concert, Hua publicly screened the coincidentally recorded encounter, jokingly awarding her an autographed “reunions feel distant” (from “In the Morning Light, There’s You“ lyrics) certificate, and gifted her a whole set of merchandise.
Having lost the weather-based bet with fans (no rain occurred), Hua voluntarily proposed fulfilling the wager by dancing to choreography from his “Quirky Psychology“ MV - his first official concert dance performance. On Day 2, Hua executed the routine wearing Lop-eared rabbit shaped woolen hat, then turned completely red from shyness.
