1. Achievements
All tickets for the 3 performances sold out within 10 seconds.
Hua Chenyu performed for three consecutive days on a 360-degree open stage at an outdoor stadium. This is the first time this has happened in mainland China.
In just three weeks after it was announced that the concert originally scheduled to be held in Shenzhen was postponed due to force majeure, Hua Chenyu efficiently completed the work of finding a new venue, modifying the stage design, refunding tickets and reselling them. In the end, the concert was successfully held in Haikou after being postponed for only 2 weeks.
According to local reports, sales at the duty-free shops increased by approximately 67% on the first day of the concert, indicating that the 3 consecutive concerts, over 150,000 tickets were sold, over 80% of the audience were from outside the province, had a significant impact on the local economy.
2. Anecdote
- Official release of “Mars Triology”. The first song, “I’m Here AKA I Really Want to Love This World”, calls for a better understanding of depression patients. The second song is “Madhouse” in a reggae style.. The third song is “Conversations with Martian Children”, which expresses Hua’s bond with his fans.
-The mink fur coat was originally designed for winter, but it looked strange when worn in tropical Haikou.
- A different sentence was printed each day on the long ribbon paper that was sprayed at the end of the performance:
Translation | Original | |
---|---|---|
Day1 | Welcome Home | 欢迎回家 |
Day2 | Thank you for still being here, in my country |
谢谢你还在 我的国 |
Day3 | You’ve always been “red”, and I’ll always be “Red” |
你们一直红, 我就一直红 |
Hua rented a large number of buses at his own expense and set up free shuttle buses across the city directly to the concert site.
Audiences can enjoy discounts at attractions and duty-free shops across Haikou with tickets for the concert.
But Hua couldn’t snatch a ticket for his own concert. Before the tickets for Day 3 went on sale, Hua Chenyu, who had already failed twice, made a bet: “If I can’t buy it this time, I will shave my head.” As a result, his new hairstyle for the Haikou concert was the bald head that everyone expected.
“I am What I am”, which had always been the last encore song, was used as the opening song this time.
