Adapted and performed for the first time in the 2017 singing competition “The Next S2”.
Later, in the music program “Infinity and Beyond 2023 (声生不息宝岛季)” EP4, Hua Chenyu collaborated with Na Ying and Ivy Lee to sing this classic Chinese folk song again in a completely different style.

From October 2017 to January 2018, Hua Chenyu participated in Dragon TV’s singing competition/show “The Next Season 2”.

In the 2018 singing competition “The Next S2” EP13 (Finals), Hua Chenyu sang “Insignificance (渺小)” with finalist Geng Sihan.

In the 2018 singing competition “The Next S2” EP12,
Hua Chenyu adapted and sang famous Chinese singer Faye Wong’s masterpiece “Idiot (白痴)”, with challenger Ma Lu .

Hua Chenyu adapted and sang the popular online rap song “Drunk As Lonely Hero (一人饮酒醉)” at singing competition “The Next S2” EP9 in 2017.

Hua Chenyu adapted and sang asian pop star Jay Chou’s “Dad, I’m Home (爸，我回来了)” at singing competition “The Next S2” EP8 in 2017.

From October 2016 to January 2017, Hua Chenyu participated in Dragon TV’s singing competition/show “The Next Season 1”.

In the 2017 singing competition “The Next S1” EP12 (Finals), Hua Chenyu and finalist Juno Su adapted and sang a male-female duet song “Perhaps Love (如果爱)” from the musical.

In the 2016 singing competition “The Next S1” EP11,
Hua Chenyu adapted and sang famous Chinese singer Karen Mok’s masterpiece “If You were Li Bei (如果你是李白)”, with semi-finalist Fan Yuanyuan.
