“Infinity and Beyond 2023” (声生不息宝岛季)
From March 2023 to May 2023, Hua Chenyu participated in Hunan TV (Mango TV)’s music program “Infinity and Beyond 2023” (声生不息宝岛季), as a regular member.
The purpose of this program is to promote exchanges between singers from mainland China and singers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The theme of the season 2 this year is Taiwanese music, and the theme of the season 1 last year was Hong Kong music.
1. About the show
“Infinity and Beyond 2023” is a music program based on Taiwanese golden songs. Recordings were carried out in Changsha and Taipei at the same time, taking the time as a clue to comprehensively sort out the “Chinese Music Chronicle” with Taiwanese characteristics. Build bridges and bonds through literary and artistic works, continuously strengthen the common memory, emotion and consciousness of compatriots on both sides of the strait, and demonstrate the spiritual bond of Chinese culture.
The performance is in the form of covers of old songs, and senior singers and artists (Na Ying, Jeff Chang, Jason Zhang, etc) who can represent both sides of the strait are invited to perform their masterpieces.
Its purpose is not only to invite young musicians to perform classic songs in today’s music style, but also to pass on famous songs to the new era and stimulate cultural exchanges.
The program will be co-broadcast on Taiwan’s CTi TV and Hong Kong’s TVB, and can also be viewed on Mango TV’s YouTube channel.
In this program, Hua Chenyu chose to act like a producer rather than just a singer. He focused on helping other singers adapt songs and arrange performances, recreating the talent for adaptation that shocked Taiwan a few years ago in the music show “The Next”.
