Nunchucks (双截棍)
On February 16, 2018 (Chinese New Year), Hua Chenyu adapted and sang asian pop star Jay Chou’s “Nunchucks (双截棍)” in the singing contest “Singer 2018” EP6.
1. About the song
“Nunchucks” is Jay Chou’s early work and has attracted much attention since its publication.
Inspired by a fishing trip, Hua Chenyu mixed rap and rock and added the sounds and gestures of Chinese Peking Opera. The final performance combines visual impact and strong emotional expression that captivated the audience.
