Flammable and Explosive (易燃易爆炸)
Hua Chenyu sang an adapted version of independent musician Chen Li’s masterpiece “Flammable and Explosive (易燃易爆炸)” on the singing competition “The Next S1” EP9 in 2016 and on the singing contest “Singer 2018” EP8 in March, 2018.
1. About the song
The first time Hua Chenyu covered this song was at “Mars Concert 2016” in Beijing.
Since Hua already had cover experience, he found it not difficult when this song was selected as the designated track for EP9 of “The Next S1”. But during rehearsal, the director asked him to add coloratura to the interlude. As a result, although Hua said that he had never sung coloratura before and might not be good at it, he quickly mastered the coloratura skills.
In the “Singer 2018” EP8, Hua Chenyu suddenly learned the news of the death of lyricist Shang Mengdi during rehearsal, so he urgently abandoned the rehearsed song and changed it to this song “Flammable and Explosive”.
Although there was no time to rehearse, so the previous arrangement was almost copied completely, but the emotional explosion brought a strong auditory and visual shock to the audience.
